Sound Mental Health moves headquarters to Tukwila

Tukwila Reporter - 8/1/2017

Sound Mental Health recently moved its headquarters to its Tukwila facility, 6400 Southcenter Blvd.

SMH's executive and administrative teams ? including accounting, IT, marketing, development, human resources and operations ? moved to the 17,000-square-foot space, which became available when a previous tenant vacated its lease.

The move from Capitol Hill gives the county-based organization a more central location to better engage partners and serve its clients.

The 11,000-square-foot space at two Capitol Hill facilities will be used to add needed treatment rooms, according to a media release.

"This decision was given careful and thoughtful consideration by our board and leadership," SMH CEO and President Patrick C. Evans said in the release. "As new opportunities emerge in health care, SMH believes that a more central King County location offers strategic advantages. This move prepares us for expansion and growth outside of King County. At the same time, we are being responsive to the growing needs of our clients and clinical staff by making a significant amount of space available."
